The Mascoteers Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect the details needed to take and manage a mascot hire booking, including your name, email address, phone number, pickup and return preferences, mascot selections, payment identifiers, and customer account login information.

Where you upload pickup, return, or condition photos through your customer account, those images are also stored with your order so we can confirm handover details and help resolve any issues about collection, return, or costume condition.

How we use it

We use your information to process bookings, manage order changes and cancellations, place and release security bond holds, send customer communications, and provide a self-service account area where you can view your order history and booking summaries.

We may also use your information to send operational emails about pickup, return, bond status, order updates, and customer support matters connected to your hire.

Where it is stored

Customer data is stored in Supabase and served through a Vercel-hosted application over HTTPS. Passwords are handled through Supabase Auth and are not stored in plaintext by The Mascoteers.

Some operational emails are sent through our connected Google systems. Payment processing is handled by Stripe.

Payment information

Card payments and saved payment methods are processed by Stripe. We store the payment references needed to charge your booking fee, handle approved order modification fees, and place a temporary security bond hold before pickup.

We do not store your full card number or CVC in our own database.

Your choices

You can use guest checkout or create a customer account. If you create an account, you can log in later to view booking summaries, cancel eligible bookings, and request approved changes online.

You can also contact us if you need help updating your details or have questions about how your booking information has been used.

How long we keep it

We keep booking, payment reference, communication, and order history records for as long as reasonably needed to run the hire service, handle support issues, and maintain business records.
